"The Box"
That which confines our thinking, is The Box. Innovation inevitably
comes from those who are capable of thinking outside The Box.
To do this, we must not unnecessarily limit our horizons, rather keep our
minds open. To illustrate problems associated with The Box, consider
the following.
Draw nine (9) equally spaced dots on a sheet of paper, as shown below.
Take a pencil, and starting anywhere, what is the fewest number of
straight-line segments that can be drawn that intersect all of the dots,
without retracing any segment or lifting your pencil from the paper?
